About Help Save Bees

Hi, I’m Damian Grounds and I decided to set up ‘Help Save Bees’ after reading an article in the Sunday Times Magazine about the terrible plight of our humble British Bees. I was shocked at how catastrophic the extinction of this one species could be to our whole way of life.

Apparently, we would all have less than a decade to live without them - as our flora, fauna and one-third of our diet would be wiped out.

So 'Help Saves Bees' has been set-up with three main aims in mind:

Help Save Bees from Extinction

To help raise general awareness about the plight of our native British Bees, particularly our Bumblebees, and how much it would affect us all if they continue to become extinct at their present rate.

Help Save Bees by Growing Plants

To highlight the simple little things that each of us can do to contribute towards generating a better habitat around us to attract and sustain the various types of native Bee - Honey Bee, Solitary Bee & Bumble Bee.

Help Save Bees by Donating Money to BBCT

To donate all net profits from the sale of products and services, via this website and through other activities, to 'The Bumblebee Conservation Trust' (BBCT), so that they can continue with their invaluable research and conservation work.

I hope you will find this site both fun and informative and be inspired to do something yourself to help with the plight of our bees. All donations would be gratefully received by the BBCT.

With best wishes,

Damian
